Category II is for veterans who face challenges but have a lesser degree of disability. The amount of the grant will be based on the Category designation. This grant may be used for all business-related expenses and does not need to be repaid.

It's also a good idea to consider joining veteran-owned business directories, such as those run by BuyVeteran.com and the Veteran's Business Network. Your certification is only valid for a certain amount of time. For example, VOSBs and SDVOSBs certified through the VA need to go through a simplified re-verification process every three years. There are two main reasons to get certified as a veteran-owned small business.
